Species Notes: A common, aggressive, mass-recruiting species. More common in floodplain forest, often found living in canopies. I have found interspecific variation in spine length (see photo below) -originally I separated these ants into two morphospecies but after observing a number of specimens and consulting with S. Cover I have grouped them all as laidlowi. |
